Why Does Landa Let Shoshana Go?

I think that the only, the best character information they give us about Landa is that he lets Shoshana go. And then it's more about the chase than it is the cruelty of it. I think all those things are actually just reverse engineering to serve a story purpose. We don't want any question as to whether or not she dies. But when it does cut to the future with the movie we got, we see this woman who goes by Miriam, we know that Shoshana did get away. And there was no question to that. Absolutely.
