Is There Anything We Can Do to Reverse That Trend?

I don't think any of these things started in the last years and I think the Trump record on funding normal research, meaning government basic research that doesn't form and go into these fights usually like NIH and NSF has been mostly driven by they've proposed cuts. But anyway I do think the situation's gotten worse in the last four years for the reasons that I stated but I just think that accelerated and ingrained trends that have been in place for several decades. Is it that we might be able to do to is there anything we can do to reverse that trend? It's hard you know I mean some of this is maybe just needs to be the nature of these debates and people need to recognize
