LGBTC Bills Hit Record Highs This Year
Nearly 670 anti l g b t c bills have been filed since 20 18, with nearly all the country's 50 state legislatures all having weighed at least one bill throughout that time. The annual number of anti lgtc bills has sky rocketed from forty one bills in 20 18 to 238 bills in less than three months of 20 22. Research shows that so too has support for lgb t c rights and policies prohibiting discrimination against lesbian, gay, bi sexual, transgender and queer people. According to re poles, nearly eight in ten americans, or 79 %, support laws that protect l gb t c people from discrimination on jobs, housing and public accommodations.
