The Middle Classes in Latin American History

There is clearly a robust and vibrant scholarship that's already underway on the middle classes in Latin American history or histories. But I would love to know whether some topics or questions in this subfield have not gotten the attention yet that they deserve. The colonial theories do reproduce that part, so what one of the things in order to challenge that is to see the rationalization of class and the classification of race. And once we include the questions of gender, the questions of masculinity, that particular distinction that we think, you know, define Cold War revolution versus counter revolution.
