What Kinds of Coaches Have You Worked With?

Chris Sparks is amazing because he can point out the elusive obvious reason why you're not doing the work that you should be doing. He cultivated a very sympathetic relationship during which he could bask very challenging questions and sort of like run headlong into your basic assumptions about life. That was a big model for me and I tried to build the same thing into my relationships with students like I want them to know that I love them and I want the best for them  and therefore I can ask some really big questions and dive into deep things without it being seen as personal attack.
