What Does It Mean to Be White?

The census bure has to follow a very formal definition set by the white houses office management and budget. It says any one with origins in any of theoig peoples of europe, the middle east or north africa should be categorized as white in government data about race. But we have to remember that census data is produced through how people report their racial identities themselves. And they may have different concepts of who is white.
