
Albo heads to NATO, auction clearance rates jump, crisis for chocaholics

The Preliminary Clearance Rate
Three quarters of homes listed for auction last week sold as clearing rates remain high on the back of low levels of listings. The number of Australians already struggling to make home loan repayments has surged by 627,000 over the past year. Research group Roy Morgan also predicts that an additional cash rate rise will leave an extra 51,000 home loan borrowers struggling to make repayments. It's almost 30% of all mortgage holders, the highest number in 15 years.
