The Problems With Night Shift Workers
Inadequate sleep, plus a lack of access to healthy foods is conspiring against night shift workers. But alongside what they're eating is another big problem when they're eating it. Inherently our bodies follow circadian rhythm. We expect to work and eat and exercise during the day. And we expect to sleep at night. So if you are eating frequently at night, you're having your main meal at night. Your body just cannot metabolize glucose as well. Our ability to deal with glucose if we eat is just a bit reduced.
