IJIN's Game of the Year Awards

Gamescoop.com has been checking in with listeners about Game of the Year nominations and more. In Australia we have a nationwide music event every year called the Triple J hottest 100 where everyone votes for their top 10 songs of the year. However, in recent years there has been some controversy among listeners as many high-placing songs have been covers and not originals. One cover actually won back in 2021. Sam: Is it acceptable for a remake or remaster to win Game of the Day when it is not an original game? IJIN: Resident Evil 4 is a full remake, not a remaster - those are eligible.
