The History of Transformers

From 1993 to 1995, select episodes of the series were re-broadcasted under the title Transformers Generation 2. Hasbro also released a Generation 2 line of toys in 1993. The old Takara toy company took over production but pretty much just used the old molds from 1984 to 1985 with new colour schemes and finishes. By the time the 90s rolled around, Transformers dipped in popularity in the US but continued to do well in Canada, the UK and Japan. In 2007 what once felt impossible happened - Optimus Prime filled theaters again.
