Using a Ball and a Flashlight

John Omera's experiment involves a ball and a flashlight. If you spin the ball around at an angle, it either gets sun during the day or no sunlight at night. Because of that angle, that tilt of the earth relative to where the sun is, it forces the sunlight to either be brighter in some spots, or darker in others. And that's where the seasons come from. We'll talk about the equator in just a minute.
