The Life of Sayyid Afatma Yashrutia

Habib Ahmad Mashur al-Hadad was a renowned Hadrami scholar sage who immigrated to East Africa from South Yemen. Sayyid Afatma became a refugee, ending up in Beirut where she resided for most of the remainder of her life. The Yashrutia of Akka reconstituted themselves there with the help of its well-established adherents in the Zawiya's of Lebanon in Syria. This led to a spiritual renaissance in the order aided and abetted by the remarkable books that were penned by SayyidAfatma.
