I Don't Think There Is an Answer

I don't think there is an answer because again, where are we going to find the answer? There is a sense in which petitioning God affects things in the world and that God will do things based on our prayers. I would discourage this kind of karmic view where the more faith you have, the more effective your prayers will be. It doesn't seem to be the trajectory of where we're going in the Bible. And it's not so much about talking, but it's about quietness and stillness and sensing God without words.
