Stonehenge: The Biggest Burial Site in Britain

Stonehenge is built by the descendants of Neolithic farmers whose origins were in Anatolia so that's modern day Turkey and the Aegean. The people who built it well at that time people from the continent are migrating to Britain in waves. To do that you've got to have a large population gathered from an extensive hinterland. We can't say exactly how far they're coming from but we know from isotope analysis of the animals that they were bringing to the Stonehenge landscape. They're coming from many different parts of Britain.
