The Healing Ritual of Asclepius
In ancient Greece, the God in charge of healthcare is called Asclepius. How do you go to a temple dedicated to him and what's the process of getting better? The signature practice at Asclepian temples was the healing ritual called incubation. It required a sick person to sleep in a special sanctuary where they hope to have one of two kinds of dreams.
