The Effects of Vaccination on Chickens
Alli pathogenic avial influenza was very rare in poultry. There was no vaccination against it, and instead the virus was stamped out by killing all the birds on an infected farm. But now we know which virus it is, and now it's happening every year. In Europe, over 50 million chickens and other poultry were killed last year. And last year in North America, about the same number of chickens and turkeys also were killed.
