ABC gets exclusive rights to Monday Night Football for a new deal, new product, $8.5 million per season. Each TV network is paying about 20 to have either the AFC package or the NFC package on Sundays. First Monday Night Football game that airs that season is watched by 60 million US households. That is like literally Super Bowl level.
