There was a lot of vice policing in New York City. Gay clubs were being raided all the time. All you needed was one or two people or organizations to complain to the district attorney about something and he'd go after them. And at that point your newsstand distributor gave you an ultimatum. Either you include more hard core sex. I went from sex to rock and roll.
