Rudolph Steiner was recognized by the members of the Theosophical Society which included some you know well-known names. He just came in where the veils were very thin for him and he was accepted into that fold. Those people also interestingly had to learn the ways of the world if they didn't already know which is why many of us this time around are dabbling in those same kinds of studies.
