The Importance of Collaboration in the School System
We do not teach cooperation in the school system. Universities, we want to hire the best people in the field. The easiest way to be the best person in the field is to be the only one. And so I argue that we want to teach people how to cheat in schools. We call it cheating because you've copied from somebody else and since it's not allowed, you have to lie and make believe it's your own. That was never ever thought of. Everything that's creative is a novel combination of things that already have been studied and known about.
