The Ubermensch and Nietzsche
Zarathustra became a very important book in the early reception of Nietzsche. The Kaiser in World War I issued copies of Zarathustra to all the German soldiers. By the early 1900s, Nietzsche was the most important figure in German and European intellectual life.
