What Is Gibraltar?
Gibraltar is located on the southern edge of the Iberian Peninsula. It is connected to Spain by a narrow isthmus or narrow strip of land that connects to a larger landmass. Evidence suggests that people have lived in or around Gibraltar for thousands of years. Around half of the world's sea-borne trade passes through the Strait of Gibraltar every year.
