Things You've Never Seen Before

In 1913 a writer named William Félón wrote an article in baseball magazine called Some Incidents on the Diamond which never happened before. The cliche didn't even take off for quite some time after as far as I can tell so it's possible that William FéLón is the father of this concept and I was kind of impressed by it. In later years it became you have a chance to see something you've never seen before. What's it happened by that point?
