The Alchemy of Initiation: Soul Work and the Art of Ripening
This week I am absolutely elated to introduce you to the incredibly insightful, Francis Weller. Francis Weller, MFT, is a psychotherapist, writer and soul activist. He is a master of synthesizing diverse streams of thought from psychology, anthropology, mythology, alchemy, indigenous cultures, and poetic traditions. Having completed some of Francis' workshops myself, I couldn't wait to have him on to speak about the initiatory process and his theories behind soul-centered psychotherapy.
In this episode, Francis leads us through a discussion of the soul, and how the greatest work and connection to the sacred is found during our greatest times of darkness and grief. We dive into what Francis teaches as initiation, a process which encompasses grief, loss, challenge, illness etc. where our identity is altered drastically and we land in the hands of something that is far greater than ourselves.
