The Limits of Mycorrhizal Connections Between Trees

There are limitations and in the attempts to understand how mycorrhizal connections between trees affect trees. We have to remember that the experiments so far have always just been done on seedlings and so we don't really know how they affect adult trees. There is one study that I'm aware of that has found really intriguing correlations between adult tree growth and some properties of mycorrhizeal networks on the roots. So, you know, we have to be cautious about how much we read into it. Certainly. And I mean, my head's off to those challenges and the people that try to conquer them.
