The act of slowing down my gestures I think is a great personal thing that I'm definitely going to implement. There's certainly better and worse ways, but there is no one right way. We have to do what in the academic literature we call cognitive reframing. Most people are not as anxious or anxious at all when they're having a conversation. If you can see your communication is conversational, it will help you feel better.
