Michael Cate and Jones had gone into making Basic Instinct 2. David Morrissey was going to take on the male lead role inbasicinstinct2. The production was not a happy one, with Michael Cate and Sharon Stone having a big bust up about three-quarter of the way through shooting. By the time they got to the end of the movie, it was clear that they were not going to be exchanging Christmas cards. He also said, basic instinct turned me off filmmaking for a long time, but on the upside, David Morrissey got a house out of it.
