The Differences Between Open and Closed Pronouns

Pronouns cannot occur on their own. And thankfully they have to be followed by another one of them or a verb and something like that. But pronouns can move around a little bit if you're doing the historical, the diachronic method. They can sort of shift positions and such. In some European languages things shifting. That never happened to English. Whereas say in Japanese you can just appropriate it's that's a lot more productive.
