Editing a Ph.D. Level Book - Is That Your Only Service?
i just did that recently. I've edited a couple of dissertations in fields that i'm not, obviously not a ph d. In. You under and that your job is to make the text readable to somebody who might not be a phd. In that subject or at least not know about the specific thing that that dissertation is about. And anything you're unclear on, you just query the author,. If there's some technical terminology that does not need to be explained further than it is, then the author will tell you. One of the biggest road blocks to getting a good it is thinking everything you've written is precious.
