There are true bilominescent milipedes, so kind of like lightning bugs, they'll produce their own light. And that has been found to be sort of a warning to predators. But the uvid fluorescence, we don't really know if there is even a reason for that. If you're lucky, if you go out at three a m up in the see nevadas, you might be able to find some.
