I actually didn't really study writing music or do anything like formal for like composition training until I got to college. So everything up to that point was just me kind of figuring it out by ear. And, you know, sometimes I'd do something that probably is completely wrong, but it would result in something that sounded really cool to me. A lot of those things ended up in my bag of tricks over the years.
