Electronically Controlled Pneumatic Brakes

If you're sitting too long without power, the air will eventually bleed off and release the brakes. These are both known quantities, which can be corrected for with good train handling and hand brakes. What would be better than just thinking sand thinking sand that talks to each other via radio signals? Not even a line of coffee.
