How to Structure a Full Reserve Bank System
If we had a full reserve system, you would have no hit whatsoever to economic growth. You would still have the malinvestments going out over time but much higher aggregate wealth. And then of course, every time there's a bank panic, we tend to get a big ratchet in government regulations. So this kind of gradual increase in all types of regulation across the board is not good at all.
