Bloom's Fourth Revisionary Ratio Demonization
Bloom's fourth revisionary ratio demonization is a movement towards a personalised counter sublime in reaction to the precursor's sublime he takes this idea from neoplatonism where there is this intermediary being not quite human not quite divine that steps in as an aid. The ephebe opens himself up to what he believes to be a power in the precursor that does not belong to the precursor but to a range of being beyond the precursor and he does this in his poem by stationing its relation to the parent poem so as to generalise away the uniqueness of the earlier work now if you've listened to a lot of my stuff you'll know that I am a huge fan of the sublime I love
