Milton's Memoirs

In 1656, he remarries a woman named Catherine Woodcock, note that he would never see her in person. She was 28 and he was 48. 20 year 20 year age gap. He apparently was very good with the children with his children from a previous marriage. It is an attempt to write the history of Britain, which up until that time had not really been attempted. Milton was probably one of a handful of people who had read widely enough to actually do it.
