What Are Bearer Bonds?
A bearer bond is a piece of paper that says, you know, whoever holds it in their hands, owns whatever asset is held by the paper. If you hold this bond in your hand, it could be a right to a bunch of corporate bonds that are worth $100 million. It's like having ultra valuable bits of paper in your hand. But now it's so kind of hemmed in governments everywhere are so angry about them. Even tax haven governments have been forced to stop accepting bearer bonds and allowing them to operate.
