The Importance of a Knowledge Base in Chatbots

All AI is sort of a self-referential or self-cleaning form of a database. The software is not aware of you, but they've got to have a knowledge base from which to work. Linguistically, you can look at a comment and say, oh, well, that's an articulate human expressing a complex thought. And so you can tell that way that one of them is likely to be automated. Because it's working off of a narrow knowledge base and is thus limited in its responses.
