Gerald John Shafer was convicted of killing two teenage girls and decapitating them. He wrote a book under the name Anne Rule, who he dated when they were 16 years old. The New York state legislature immediately passed a preemptive legal statute that said Mark David Chapman couldn't profit from his story. Sandra London is actually annoyed that that was part of it.
