There are several medieval Elizabethan and Tudor mystery series. Why do you think these periods are so popular? I think that many people like to go back because it was a simpler time. People feel that they're getting an idea about what things were like. You can't be absolutely 100% certain about how people would have behaved. But you've got to extrapolate from what you already know.
