Bolivar marched out of bogota on december thirteenth, 18 21. But his grand plan was thwarted by some bad intelligence. The long march through the mountainous roads to quito took months and took its toll. And in fact, despite it being claimed as a victory, the battle of bona was obviously not the third sister for belivar.
