Is the for Profit Corporate Structure a Good Idea?

I'm a bleeding heart progressive like all of us here and I just was so committed to the idea that whatever was created here would be truly for the community. So many groups out there have to start as for profits because that's actually the easier way to be a vendor and to get investment. And yeah, I think there's a different model where we see, frankly, billions of dollars from donors in various corners and through various mechanisms, funding the work in this space.
