World Bank President David Malpass Resigns
World Bank President David Malpass announced his plans to step down in June of this year, and that's almost a year early. US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen praised Malpass for his service and efforts helping low-income nations achieve debt sustainability through debt reduction. His resignation also comes as the bank announces a $1.8 billion package for Turkey to assist with recovery and relief efforts.
