The cause of death was asphyxiation. The manner of death, no surprise, given o the bound hands and feet, is homicide. Police feel like father carrier's death was likely part of a robbery. When police speak to his friends and family, they described him as a genuinely good gilic. They said he was supergenerous. He was always picking up hitch hikers,. Always giving them a place to stay, a meal, whatever they needed.
