Anke pank's new book is a chronological expose of how the concept of god even began, and where did it all start, and how did we end up with monotheism? One of the central ideas is digging the source. For example, on one of the oldest religious texts that we have available to us are the pyramid texts in old egypt. They were supposedly constructed under king unas, who was the last of the fifth dynasty. And they were officially studied by french archaeologists and egyptologists of gaston maspero in the 18100s.
