Is There a Conflict of Interest in a Parental Alienation Case?
There are very few experts willing to take on what's either called high conflict cases, or cases where parental elionation is alleged. And that's why it's so expensive, because there has to be a huge amount of time dedicated by professionals working in this area. It then reduces the pool of available experts. If they are recommending therapy, there's an even smaller pool of therapists available to deliver the work. i think what the investigation has uncovered is a situation where the person who is assessing the family goes on to deliver treatment. And that that's essentially considered unethical. There are good reasons why you want to keep the court expert distinct from anybody who's treating the parents or the child.
