Christy's mom was very ashamed of the affair that she had with jillian's dad and in turn she's kind of ashamed of christy. Her stepdad who is actually a very lovely man is not as effusive as christy would like. She always feels like they're the biological child between her stepfather and her mother is you know the favorite.
