This year is the one hundredth anniversary of the infamous tulsa race massacre. This discussion about the massacre that took place there in 19 21 leaves out the context of how tulsa was created, what drove it socially, economically and how this massacre came about. And so if we look this bigger context of the history of talsa, it shows us the ways that the indian roots and foundations of american civilization are very significant.
