What Is a Palandrome?

A palandrum is a word that can be reversed to form another word. A paladrome doesn't have to be one single word, but if if one word were a palandrome, it would spell itself the same way, forward and backwards. When the palandrome reverses, you would end up with a totally different string of words. Poems are almost these feats of inspiration or verbal gymnastics - i think bogiard would say that's reductive.
