If you look inside of VWO, you'll see that it's a lot of Chinese stocks. You can get something like KBA, which is China's A shares,. That has a correlation coefficient down there, something like 0.2 or 0.3 with the US stock market. The other thing you might want to consider is whether you want individual REITs instead of a REIT fund. Because oftentimes you can get better diversification that way.
