The EU's Response to the Energy Price Shock

More than 11 countries in Europe, this includes the UK, are spending more than 2.5% of GDP on energy relief. The main element has been so far to preserve the price signals and redistribute them to targeted parts of the population or the industry. I think there is rationalization on the fiscal measures that are taken and I think this goes hand in hand with measures to reduce demand.
